Dowel screws are specialized fasteners without heads, featuring a tapered design. Each end contains threads and points, enabling insertion into wooden pieces intended for joining. The screw features a central section known as a "collar," which lacks threading. This unthreaded section isn't always included, particularly in more compact dowel screws.
